Works on Lathbury Sports Complex running 24 hours a day ahead of Island Games

The Government has confirmed that work at the site of Lathbury Sports Complex is running 24 hours a day ahead of this summer's Island Games.

Lathbury is one of five venues still under construction with the Island Games due to open on July 6th. In answer to GBC question, the government said works were on schedule, with both Lathbury and Europa Sports Complexes due to be completed by the end of June.

Elsewhere, the Special Olympics Complex is due to be finished by the end of this month, the rifle shooting range by the first week in May, and the Clay shooting range by mid May.

Local athletes will be able to use the facilities as soon as works are completed for each.
