Armed Forces Minister hints at increased investment in Gibraltar

Gibraltar is ‘really important’ to the UK when it comes to defence and this could translate into increased investment over time.

This according to the Minister for the Armed Forces who’s been on the Rock.

Alistair Carns went on board HMS Stirling Castle and also on RFA Lyme Bay, refitted on the Rock, before she sets off to the Gulf to assist in mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

He thanked the people of Gibraltar and the services’ personnel for their support.
