The EU has hailed a 'new chapter' in UK relations ahead of the May 19th London summit, with defence, youth mobility, and trade high on the agenda.

Commissioner Maros Sefcovic called the UK a key partner and said both sides are ready to 'build bridges' after years of Brexit tensions.

On Gibraltar, he praised the 'exemplary cooperation' of ministers David Lammy and Jose Manuel Albares, noting that talks are moving in a 'positive direction' and reflecting the improved state of UK-EU relations.
