A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission and El Salvador's Digital Assets Commission.
The agreement formalises the relationship between the two regulators and strengthens cooperation as digital asset markets continue to grow. Trade and Industry Minister Nigel Feetham described it as an 'important milestone'.
El Salvador was one of the first countries to introduce a clear regulatory framework for digital assets.
The President of the Digital Assets Commission, Juan Carlos Reyes, told Katy Docker that although Gibraltar and El Salvador differ in size and population, they share many of the same experiences.
