The Government has presented Gibraltar's approach to heritage conservation and regeneration at the European Federation of Fortified Sites Congress in Belgium.
It marks the first time Gibraltar has been represented at the event, which brings together heritage specialists and policymakers from across Europe.
Projects Director Carl Viagas delivered a keynote address highlighting Gibraltar's approach to preserving historic sites while adapting them for tourism, education and public access. The presentation included the Skywalk and the ongoing redevelopment of the Northern Defences.
The Government says delegates responded positively, with interest expressed in future collaboration and visits. It says Gibraltar's participation helps position the Rock among Europe's leading historic fortified landscapes.
