Gibraltar themed image wins overall prize in photographic competition

It's been a special year for the Photographic Society, as they continue their 60th anniversary events.

Their annual competitive exhibition boasts a large number of entries from beginners to some of the well known names in local photography.

Adjudicator Ross McKelvey praised the Society for 'upping their game' since his last visit 9 years ago.

The overall winning image was 'My Safe Space' photographed by John Piris.

The exhibition is open at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery until the 3rd October.
