Gibraltar wins 'Best Stand' at Lib Dem Conference

Gibraltar has won 'Best Stand' at the Liberal Democrat conference in Brighton.

The award recognises Gibraltarian students who volunteered at the stand, welcoming visitors and explaining what the UK-EU Treaty means for Gibraltar.

The students also attended fringe events and met politicians, party members and organisations from across the political spectrum.

Lib Dem Chief Whip Wendy Chamberlain said it was “excellent to see students and graduates involved”, describing it as the kind of youth engagement, political conferences should encourage.

The students are part of a Government programme for Gibraltarians studying in the UK.
