GibSams and Childline Gibraltar launch joint awareness campaign

A joint awareness campaign has been launched by Childline Gibraltar and GibSams.

“Together, We’ve Got Gibraltar Covered” aims to reinforce the message that no-one has to face life’s challenges alone.

It brings together four free confidential helplines: 

• Childline Gibraltar (8008) – for children and young people aged 0–18, and adults concerned about a child
• Teenline (8009) – dedicated support for young people aged 11–18
• GibSams (116123) – emotional support for adults aged 18+
• GibSilver (8000) – support for adults aged 55 and over

The charities emphasise that although they are working together, they remain independent and have separate operational models – stressing that no information is shared between the organisations.

They say with treaty implementation bringing changes for individuals, families, workers and businesses, everyone in Gibraltar should know support is always available.

They say there is a growing need for joined-up mental health support, adding demand for listening services ocontinues across calls, chats and WhatsApp support.

GibSams and Childline Gibraltar say the campaign is about visibility and reassurance, encouraging the public to save, share, and display the poster.
