Lifeguard services at beaches end next week

The lifeguard service at public beaches will end on Sunday of next week: the weekend after National Day.

The Government says the sunshade stores will continue to be available for public use until the 30th September.

As in previous years, the ban on setting beach furniture up overnight will be lifted for the eve of National Day.

Beachgoers are allowed to set up on the evening of the 9th September - and are urged not to do so any earlier than that.
