For the first time since 2019, a football qualifier for a major tournament will be played on the Rock.

Gibraltar takes on the Faroe Islands next week in a World Cup qualifier, but before then they have a friendly against Albania.

A new stand at the Europa Point Stadium has played a big part in football coming home.

The GFA has also announced the appointment of the new Head Coach of the Gibraltar Women's National Team.

Croatian coach Stella Gotal takes up the role with immediate effect.

A former player in the Croatia Women's Premier League, she has previously been Assistant Coach of the country's Under-15 Women's National Team.

Stella Gotal says her new appointment is "both an honour and a responsibility", and that she looks forward to working closely with the players to "build a strong culture and identity".

General Secretary, Ivan Robba, said her appointment underlines the GFA's commitment to women's football, adding he's "confident she will raise standards across all levels of the game".

Ms Gotal's first matches in charge will be a friendly double header in Andorra next month.
