Moroccan recipients of Gibraltar old age pension to receive payments directly in Morocco

Moroccans who receive a Gibraltar Old Age Pension will be able to have their payments transferred directly to Morocco.

Under the new Treaty visa travel arrangements, pensioners living in Morocco who wish to travel to Gibraltar will require a Schengen visa.

However, those who prefer not to travel can have their pension paid directly into a bank account in Morocco.

To do this, they must open an account at any Banque Populaire branch and provide the details to Gibraltar's pension authority.

Pensioners are being encouraged to read the Government's technical notice carefully and make the necessary arrangements well in advance.
