The Chief Minister and Minister for Health have attended the Global Progressive Mobilisation conference in Barcelona at the invitation of the Spanish Premier.

On Friday evening Fabian Picardo and Gemma Arias-Vasquez will attend an official dinner hosted by Pedro Sanchez.

The event brought together progressive leaders, policymakers, activists and thinkers from around the world. Also attending were Spain's Minister for Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares, UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, and the Executive Vice President of the European Commission Teresa Ribera.

As part of the programme, the Chief Minister was invited to speak in a panel discussion on "Confronting the Cost of Living Crisis," where he explained Gibraltar's approach to supporting the community through difficult globally economically uncertain times.

He said it was great to catch up with good friends and to have the opportunity to continue strengthening the ties and dialogue across Europe and beyond, which remain important in the modern political and international context.
