A question about Gibraltar’s wastewater management has been raised in the UK Parliament.

The issue of sewage and wastewater treatment continues to attract political and environmental attention. It follows a recent piece in The Guardian.

Labour MP Adam Jogee asked the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what discussions had taken place with the Government of Gibraltar regarding the processing of raw sewage in Gibraltar.

In response, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Emma Hardy said ministers meet regularly with the Government of Gibraltar to discuss a range of environmental matters, including wastewatermanagement.
