Unite the union is highlighting long-standing concerns for its members at Elderly Residential Services.
It says these include the issue of unfilled vacancies and some stemming from the TUPE transfer to the GHA.
Unite is disappointed its flags which had been flying outside ERS workplaces have been removed - it says, by the Government.
The union says it opted for flags as it wanted to highlight its members’ concerns responsibly, while avoiding the disruption to service users that industrial action could bring.
Unite describes the Government’s action is disheartening, coming just days after May Day, when it said it supported trade union rights and workers having a voice.
According to the union, the removal of the flags undermines morale and may leave workers with no other alternative but to consider industrial action or strike action.
It asks the Government to reconsider its approach on this issue.
