Action for Housing has welcomed the announcement of a half-way house for homeless men - but says there are still many questions which remain unanswered.
The group says it has been asking for a facility like this for decades, and was disappointed when the St Christopher's Lodge project, announced before the 2023 election, was dropped.
It asks, however, why the new home will be run by a charity - the Bridge House Charitable Trust - and funded by public donations, instead of by the Government.
It also asks how much is needed, and how long it will take for the funds to become available, so that the long-awaited halfway house can open its doors.
And, Action for Housing asks whether the Government can guarantee the funding will be sufficient to maintain the facility in the long term.
