The Cruise line Alma Cruceros has been forced to cease operations a month after it was launched, with its only liner 'Ocean Victory' detained due to claims from creditors.

It's currently in Gibraltar where it could be auctioned.

The ship which boasts 93 luxury cabins and Michellin starred restaurants launched a month ago offering luxury cruises in Spain and to Morocco, Sardinia and Corsica.

But the Malaga based company has been forced to cease operating because of what it terms the unilateral and unjustified termination of its charter contract by the ship's owners.

Ocean Victory has now been detained because of the non- payment of  port fees and services.

The company has stopped taking new bookings and is currently processing all clients' claims.
