Almost 40 swimmers take the plunge for a charity Round the Rock Swim

Almost 40 swimmers took the plunge for a charity Round the Rock Swim on Saturday.

Starting at 11.30am from Eastern Beach, they are swimming past Europa Point to end up at Western Beach. The original route was reversed to make the most of weather conditions. The start time was also brought forward.

16 individuals will attempt the full 12.5 km with three relay teams sharing the distance.

Sports Minister Leslie Bruzon will be participating with a GSLA team.

The organisers have been keen to emphasise this is not a race.

It’s certainly a test of endurance with all proceeds going towards the GBC Open Day.

Just keep swimming!
