The association representing freight forwarders and customs agents in the Campo de Gibraltar has raised concerns that continued problems with the new customs procedures could affect the movement of goods into Gibraltar.

The president of ATEIA Campo de Gibraltar told Cadena SER Algeciras that several lorries carrying goods, including perishable products, have been held up since last week because of problems with the new IT systems.

Manuel Cózar said the issues are preventing customs procedures from being completed, causing substantial delays in goods being cleared through customs.
