Camp Bay and Little Bay pools close for repairs after vandalism

The small pools at Camp Bay and Little Bay have been closed after acts of vandalism.

GBC understands large rocks have been thrown into the pool and tiles have been damaged.

The Department of the Environment says it’s deeply disappointed at the lack of respect shown by a small number of people, who have spoiled things for everyone else.

It says damage to public property is a crime and asks the public to report any suspicious activity to the police.

The Government says it will make the pools safe and usable again as quickly as possible, regretting the fact that it now has to redo works that were already carried out before the bathing season, instead of spending that money on improvements.
