Further administrative issues have emerged in Spain following the implementation of the Treaty.
Trade unions representing frontier workers say some have encountered difficulties claiming unemployment benefits and are calling on the Spanish authorities to clarify the situation.
Spanish trade union Comisiones Obreras and the Association of Spanish Workers in Gibraltar, ASTEG, say some frontier workers have experienced problems applying for unemployment benefits in Spain since the Treaty was implemented.
They maintain that the arrangements agreed between Spain and the UK should guarantee access to those benefits and are asking Spain's Public Employment Service to resolve the issue.
The organisations are calling for the necessary instructions to be issued as soon as possible in order to avoid further uncertainty for affected workers.
