The UK EU treaty text on Gibraltar has officially been translated to Spanish.
The European Commission has published the document, following its release in English two weeks ago.
Spain’s Foreign Affairs minister has sent a letter to all institutional stakeholders in the Campo de Gibraltar with the Spanish translation.
This includes President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, the Association of Municipalities, the President of the Cross-Border Group, the President of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, and the mayors of the region.
Jose Manuel Albares will also present the detail before the Foreign Affairs Committee of Congress.
A statement on the Exterior Ministry’s website describes the treaty as a historic agreement that will bring security and prosperity to the entire region.
Mr Albares has shared the text as well as an infographic explaining the main changes the agreement brings.
The infographic highlights the frontier coming down, a new era for 300,000 Campo residents and the benefits of the agreement for 15,000 cross-frontier workers.
The Spanish translation of the text can be found here.
