The European Network for Compliance Officers says there were “significant achievements” during the presidency of the Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers.
This comes as the leadership mandate is transferred to the French compliance association, La Cercle de la Compliance, following GACO’s year of stewardship.
ENFCO says the highlight of the past year was its Annual General Meeting, held in Gibraltar in November, at which internationally-renowed speakers took part in a conference on fighting corporate bribery.
It adds the past year has seen a structural reorganisation, the implementation of new governance documents and a new code of conduct, a comprehensive European study on bribery and corruption, and a “seminal” white paper published by the Strategy Subcommittee.
ENFCO said, “The event fostered unprecedented interaction between international delegates, GACO members, and officials from Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar. ENFCO extends its sincere gratude to the Hon. Minister Nigel Feetham KC, Minister for Justice, Trade, and Industry, for his steadfast support.”
