GFA to review comments made during Catrino TV match broadcast

The Football Association says it's seriously concerned over comments made during a live broadcast of a football league fixture on Catrino TV.

The comments were made during a recent match between Europa FC and Mons Calpe SC.

GFA says public commentary suggesting bias by match officials, especially live, is "irresponsible and risks undermining confidence in Gibraltar football".

It says it maintains full confidence in its refereeing structures and in the professionalism and independence of its match officials.

The association says it's reviewing the matter in line with its regulations and the contractual obligations governing its broadcast partner, and will take any action deemed appropriate.

It calls on all stakeholders, including clubs, media partners and commentators, to uphold the standards, integrity, and reputation of the game.
