GGCA submits formal complaint over Workers' Memorial Day event organisation

The Gibraltar General and Clerical Association says it's submitted a formal complaint to the Government over the organisation of the Workers' Memorial Day ceremony.

The clerical union says it's asking for an equal platform in events such as these; yesterday's ceremony was a collaboration between Unite and the Government.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister said there had been controversy between the unions as to who got to lay wreaths, and who represented which workforce.

Fabian Picardo called for unity on the left and in the labour movement, saying only the right wing would benefit from division.

Christina Cortes spoke to GGCA President, Darren Cerisola; she asked him why the GGCA did not lay any wreaths at the event.
