The Government has thanked public servants for their work preparing Gibraltar for the implementation of the UK-EU treaty.

The Chief Minister praised civil servants and public sector workers for helping deliver new systems, infrastructure and procedures ahead of the treaty coming into force.

He acknowledged there would be initial challenges but urged staff to remain focused and committed as the new arrangements bed in.

The Chief Minister said Gibraltar was coping but that you could not implement a 1,018 page international treaty without 'teething' problems, however well you prepare - whether you're the EU, the UK or Gibraltar
