GSD says 'hugely serious" to blame Principal Auditor for death threats against Chief Minister

The GSD has described it as 'hugely serious" to blame the Principal Auditor for the death threats against the Chief Minister. 

Keith Azopardi accused Fabian Picardo of attempting to silence future independent auditors or other constitutional officers from speaking their mind.

While acknowledging that any threats of violence are totally unacceptable, the Opposition leader insisted democracy and accountability are not served by wild language or exaggerated imputations by the GSLP Government - which he calls "disgraceful".

The GSD claims there has been no attempt to respond to the detail of many of the issues raised in the report.
