The GSD says the new residency rules are likely to have an adverse effect on British people seeking to relocate or invest in Gibraltar.

Responding to the measures announced by the Government last week, it also argues the salary threshold of £37,500 doesn't reflect average private sector earnings or the pay of some key public or private sector jobs.

The GSD says the new rules will hamper business and growth in the economy, and diminish the importance of the Rock's links to Britain.
