La Linea Mayor says he 'never thought he would witness this moment' as border becomes open

After the border was opened, the Mayor of La Linea, Juan Franco said he never thought he would witness this moment, adding he believed the gate did nothing but separate two towns who counted on each other.

Mr Franco told our News Editor, Christine Vasquez that the closure of the border between 1969 to 1982 was best left in the past, as both La Linea and Gibraltar look forward to a prosperous future.
