A local woman has appeared in court charged with eight counts relating to indecent images of children.

35-year-old Sarah Anne Noguera has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

She was taken to court by police after spending the night in cells. The alleged offences span a two-year period from 2022 to 2024.

Sarah-Anne Noguera of Beach View Terraces faces three counts of possession of indecent images of children, three counts of distributing indecent images of children to another person, and one count of taking or making indecent images of children.

She also is charged with one count of possession of extreme pornography.

The defendant was arrested after an investigation by the Royal Gibraltar Police, which said the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMCE) had received online reports concerning local IP addresses and the uploading of several indecent images of children.

The court heard that the RGP searched a home on Devil’s Tower Road. Several electronic devices were seized.

Her lawyer Chris Finch applied for bail, which was granted by the Lay Bench with a number of conditions. These include no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16, and restrictions on her internet use.

Sarah Anne Noguera will next appear at the Magistrates' Court in October.
