A man has been sentenced to two and a half years in custody after he left another man in hospital, following what a Judge has described as a ‘very serious beating’.
38-year-old James Michael Connolly had been drinking with his victim the night of the October 2024 assault. An argument between them left the other man with significant facial injuries as well as a rib fracture and bruising.
The defendant later pleaded guilty to Grevious Bodily Harm with Intent and was this morning handed two years seven months in prison.
