Keeping wild animals as pets is becoming a serious concern in Gibraltar, with around 70% of animals at the Alameda Wildlife Park coming from private homes.

Globally, animal trafficking affects more than 4,000 species, and the UN warns it’s causing “untold harm upon nature.”

A Royal Ball Python was rescued locally in April, and the park is now hoping the public will name him.
