New roof being installed at Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned

The Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned is in the process of having a new roof installed.

The project will take a few weeks, and was needed to remove rubble and asbestos from the rafters.

The dismantling of the old roof has exposed some fascinating structures rarely seen by the public.

The Gibraltar Diocese has needed five years of fund-raising pay for the new roof.
