No further discussion on this year's public sector pay rise, says Picardo

The Chief Minister says there is no further discussion to be had over this year's public sector pay rise.

Fabian Picardo said this was announced in the Budget, and has already been implemented.

He told GBC the Government remains keen to engage with Unite over future pay rises, but called the union's decision to strike over its current claim "unreasonable".

Unite said it had called a strike after the Government cancelled a meeting and did not reply to correspondence - effectively stonewalling the union.

Christina Cortes asked the Chief Minister if this was the case.
