Chief Minister says work on the treaty text is happening 'daily'

The Chief Minister says work on the treaty text is happening on a daily basis, with the Attorney General in Brussels on Thursday.

Fabian Picardo told GBC that following the negotiations and the agreement, he now has more time to focus on other things.

Yesterday, the Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares, came under fire from opposition parties for not using the treaty to advance Spain's sovereignty claim.

Christine Vasquez put it to Mr Picardo that it must be reassuring for many to hear that there are no sovereignty implications in the treaty text, and to hear Spanish politicians cite the wishes of the Gibraltarians.

The Chief Minister said progress is on track to hopefully conclude the text by the end of the autumn, but that the important thing is the text itself, not the timing.
