Ocean Spa Plaza fire caused by balcony air conditioning unit
Community / Law & Order | 4th June 2026, 14:16 |
An early morning fire in a flat at Ocean Spa Plaza was linked to an air conditioning unit on the balcony, the Fire and Rescue Service has told GBC.
No injuries were reported.
Most of the building's residents were evacuated by police soon after the fire broke out, including two people that were in the apartment where the fire started.
They were later able to return to their homes and surrounding roads reopened.
GFRS Senior Duty Officer Edgar Ramirez spoke to our reporter Christina Cortes on the scene.
