Plans to redevelop Tovey Cottage as 'immersive nature hub'

Plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of Tovey Cottage in the Upper Rock into an "immersive nature hub" - a centre for conservation, education and eco-tourism.

The Tovey Cottage Observatory would include an observation deck, an immersive cinema and interactive research hub, and a dedicated Birds of Prey Display Area.

It would also address structural and safety issues with the current facilities, and improve accessibility.

The project has been designed by Garcia and Cox Architects for the Government and Wingways Limited.
