The New Year's Eve Framework Agreement of 2020 talked about an initial four-year period, but this has now been scrapped.
The Chief Minister said there would still be a review clause after four years, and also a general get out clause like article 50.
He said it would only be the UK or the EU who could trigger it, not Spain or Gibraltar.
Mr Picardo said the EU must give regard to Spain, but could also effectively tell them ‘this is bigger than you are’.
And, it's expected that the ferry service from Gibraltar to Morocco will stop operating.
Mr Picardo said the ferry is not commercially viable, as there are 20 plus ferry departures daily from Spain our community will no longer need it, and his Government could not accept Spanish police officers at the Port.
He said there will be no Schengen checks there.
