The UK has a new Foreign Secretary.
Former Home Secretary Yvette Cooper was appointed in today's cabinet reshuffle, after Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner resigned over a scandal to do with underpaying tax.
Former Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, will now take up that role of deputy Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister described Mr Lammy as a "great friend and a huge support in the final stretches of the negotiation" over the treaty, adding he's written to thank him.
Fabian Picardo says he's also written to congratulate Yvette Cooper; he says she knows the Gibraltar issues well from her time as Home Secretary, and "will be familiar with the detail of immigration related issues that the technical text" of the draft treaty involves.
Mr Picardo said he looks forward to continuing to work with both of them in their new roles.
