A man has been sentenced to a year in prison for breaching a sexual offences prevention order.

Stephen Martinez, resident of the Hub, has been found guilty of possession of indecent images of children previously. As a result, the order was imposed on him.

He has breached the SOPO before.

On this occasion, he bought a mobile phone and did not inform police about this, as per the order.

Taking into account his early guilty plea, Judge John Restano sentenced Martinez to 12 months in prison, with time served to be taken into account. He's been on remand since April.
