Reserve recruits complete training camp

Ten newly enlisted RG Reserve Recruits have successfully completed a nine day camp.

They were presented with their Berets by the Commanding Officer of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel John Pitto MBE.

The Recruit Camp provided training designed to build core military skills which saw recruits take part in intensive physical conditioning, scenario-based exercises and team-building.  They also completed a weapon handling test with a SA80A3 rifle, which they fired on a 25 metre range.

Sergeant Zammit of B Company highlighted the success of this year’s intake, which he said was the largest in a very long time.

He congratulated the recruits, saying it was a pleasure and privilege to work with such a talented group.
