Severe weather warning for gale force winds, as 'soggy' January continues

The Government has issued a weather warning for severe gale force winds from Tuesday morning.

Southwesterly winds will exceed gale force strengths, increasing from the early morning.

Travel conditions may become very difficult at times, especially in exposed areas.

The extreme weather should last until 3pm with strong winds (although not as extreme) expected until 7pm.

Meanwhile, January has already recorded more than double the average rainfall for the month.

On Gibraltar Today, Kelly-Anne Borge asked the Met Office's Niamh Murray about the unusually soggy start to the year.
