Six year sentence for Varyl Begg knife attacker

A 29 year old man has been given a six year prison sentence after he attempted to stab someone last year.

In the early hours of July 20th, Christopher Nuñez knocked on the door of a ground floor home in Varyl Begg, then lunged at the occupant with a knife when he opened the door.

Nuñez believed the victim owed him money. He pleaded guilty to attempted wounding with intent days before his trial.
