Spanish Foreign Minister will address Spanish Congress & Senate this week on UK-EU treaty

The Spanish Foreign Minister will address the Spanish Congress and Senate this week on the UK-EU treaty for Gibraltar.

Jose Manuel Albares will appear before the houses of Parliament this Thursday and Friday to discuss the treaty in detail.

Friday is the date when the EU's new Entry-Exit System comes into effect, and was previously the target date for treaty implementation.

However, the provisional application date for the treaty has now been pushed back to the 15th July, and Gibraltar has received assurances that the EES will not apply to any Gibraltar residents.
