Sudanese major robbery suspect extradited to France

A 31-year-old Sudanese national was extradited to France earlier this month on suspicion of having committed a high value robbery in Paris four years ago.

Mahadi Ahmed, who used several aliases, was the subject of an Interpol red notice and was arrested by the Royal Gibraltar Police Special Branch last October as he stepped off a plane coming from the UK.

He was kept in remand until his extradition proceedings finished and has now been handed over to the French authorities.
