Three local men have been jailed after being convicted over two separate violent assaults committed last year.
Each of the men has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison.
Twenty-two-year-old Michael Martin was sentenced to three years and two months' imprisonment after admitting to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The offence took place in June 2025 at a flat in Laguna Estate, where Martin repeatedly punched the victim before stamping on his head with steel toe-capped boots.
The victim suffered multiple head injuries and lost consciousness. Martin was arrested shortly afterwards by Royal Gibraltar Police officers.
In a separate case, 22 year old Jotham Sardeña and 21 year old Marcus Aguilera were each jailed for three years and two months after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The pair assaulted an off-duty Royal Gibraltar Police officer on Ocean Village promenade in October 2025.
The victim suffered multiple injuries after being punched, kicked repeatedly to the head and knocked unconscious.
Both men were arrested nearby following the attack and later admitted the offences in the Supreme Court.
