Tobacco from Gibraltar among packets seized in La Línea

The Guardia Civil says tobacco from Gibraltar was among almost 9,600 packets seized in La Línea over the past week.

It says one thousand packets found in a vehicle had come from Gibraltar and did not carry the required Spanish tax markings.

Three further seizures brought the total to 9,580 packets, valued by Spanish authorities at more than 20 thousand euros.

No arrests have been reported, and the Guardia Civil has not said whether the four seizures are connected.
