Traffic to be re-routed for major sewage future proofing works

A major sewage infrastructure upgrade is under way.

The project will see a new system of sewage pipes laid around Gibraltar which will future proof the Rock's infrastructure against the new developments going up, including the Eastside.

The next few phases will require road closures, parking losses and the re-routing of bus stops.

The first of the roads to be closed down will be Transport Lane, between New Mole House and the Anchorage from this Saturday.

Each of the phases of works, and their effects on traffic, are expected to last around 12 weeks.
