The Chief Minister says the Treaty strikes the right balance for a future based on cooperation.
Speaking to GBC after appearing before the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, Fabian Picardo said he had no concerns that the Concordat would deliver what is expected, but he refused to be drawn on a timeline.
Looking ahead to his meeting tomorrow with the Spanish Foreign Minister, he said matters involving the Treaty’s provisional application and implementation would be on the agenda.
Ros Astengo first asked Mr Picardo why he told the Foreign Affairs Committee there were no downsides to the Treaty, when he himself had warned it would make for uncomfortable reading.
