ESG calls on Govt to reconsider data centre plan

The Environmental Safety Group is calling on the Government to reconsider its plan for a data centre.

The ESG says the technology is known to be causing widespread concerns globally over its energy and water consumption.

If the project is to run on renewable energy and be "water independent", the group says details must be provided on how this would be done.

It also asks why these options can't instead be put towards Gibraltar's general use.
