Feetham defends fast-tracked ADI Predictstreet licence as reports call startup “obscure”

The Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, Nigel Feetham, has defended the recent awarding of a gambling licence, in record time, to the forecasting platform ADI Predictstreet.

International news sites have referred to the Gibraltar startup as "obscure", highlighting the company is run by an executive who settled insider trading charges with the Indian Government.

Mr Feetham also did not rule out whether this potential new area of economic growth would extend to betting on the outcomes of elections and wars in the future, saying it is up to the regulator.
